ROTARY BORED (RBA)
This piling method is used where a high load capacity pile is needed, where piling depth is limited. Our rotary piling rig can have a big diameter, so it allows us to get good ground bearing base. Rotary Bored Auguring is the favoured option for chalk/clay ground, where we can form an open bore pile without concreting via an auger. Rigs contain a telescopic bar and 1-1.5m auger at the rear end. An operator spins the auger into the ground at the same depth as an auger, removing auger out where the lifted soils rest at auger.
CFA PILING (CONTINUOUS FLIGHT AUGURING)
We use this method for semi-open and open construction sites for new buildings. The piling rig which is used depends on pile specification and ground conditions, and the piling rig weight can range from 15 ton to 76-ton rigs. This piling method an auger string goes deep into the ground in one hit and depends on the specification. These auger strings can range from 1m down to 25m, and using a Kelly bar, that push’s augers deep down. This is one of the quickest methods used and takes 10-15 minutes for piling to concrete, this is typically used by our PILING COMPANY using pile diameters from 300mm to 600mm.
